Eickhorn Solingen has a tradition of designing and manufacturing unique survival and rescue products for public service organizations. Fire, police, and ambulance officers depend on the reliability and quality of original Eickhorn Solingen equipment in extreme conditions. The original CSAR I was developed by Eickhorn on the request of special police units for a yet further optimized model of the already existing PRT Guardian series, expressly for its particular field of application. Master designer Dietmar Pohl developed the ES CSAR II using the tried and tested PRT concept.
The Eickhorn rescue knife C.S.A.R. II features a spear point blade with black Kal-Gard coating. The additional partial serration makes it easier to cut solid materials and ropes. The G-10 handle with milled grooves guarantees safe handling and the G10 polymer does not draw heat from your hand like metals do making it ideally suited for use with bare hands in cold weather. Its 1.5 mm / 0.06 inch thick stainless steel liners give the C.S.A.R. the necessary stability and secure the blade. The belt cutter integrated in the back of the handle and a glass breaker prove to be indispensable, especially in rescue operations. It has a pants clip to allow for tip down carry.
