The S.E.K. (SonderEinsatz-Kappmesser or Special-Purpose Severing Knife) model is one of the most successful Eickhorn designs of recent years. Leading German Special Forces units have chosen this knife to add to their special purpose equipment. For non-governmental use, due to the German weapon law, many users request a single edge version. So Eickhorn re-designed the blade of the S.E.K.. It has now a spear point blade. The full size back of the blade adds a lot of strength to the knife, which makes it even more usable as an entry tool. All other technical data stays the same as the S.E.K.. It has a 10 cm / 3.9 inch long blade that is laser cut. The handle can either be wooden, in an attractive dark Ziricote, or G10, which comes with a serrated blade. Additionally, the design of the handle allows for several different grip positions, putting the highest value on safe handling. It is a discreet, every-day-carry knife. The wood knife comes with a dark brown boot leather sheath with thumb break release and a steel boot clip; meanwhile, the G10 knife comes with a Kydex sheath with Multilock system.
The new SGT (Glow In The Dark) version comes with a black G10 handle and a blade coated in a very robust glow in the dark coating making this an ideal version for use in diving or similar dark environments.
